Plume Rod
plume_rodUnder the Buried World the mantle rises in plumes, and where a plume cools it stands in organ pipes of six-sided basalt. The rod is one such pipe that never finished cooling: strike the ground with it, and the plume remembers which way is up.|Melt and water do not share a room. In the rain the rod only hisses.
Gear

Plume. Strike the ground: along your gaze, 10 blocks out, columns of melt rise one after another, 8 in all. Whoever stands by one takes 6, is tossed up and burns for 5 s. In water and under rain the melt goes out: the rod does not fire.
