Canyon Roller

An armadillo of the Martian canyons, armored in bands of rusty hematite. When a dust storm comes it curls into a ball and lets the wind roll it down the canyon, which it seems to enjoy. Gentle and curious: it will trot after anyone carrying food, sniffing the ground all the way.
