Giantkin

A stocky gray folk of the Ash with bone plates grown on their shoulders and skulls, like the giants whose skeletons lie across the desert. They call the giants their ancestors: the giants burned down, and the blue fire is their souls. The Giantkin live inside the ribs and skulls, keep the soul fire and guard the bones from the gnawers.
