Lashkin

The whispering people of the Eye. Their bodies are woven from iris fibers like bundles of roots, and where a face should be there is only a closed lid; when a Lashkin speaks, it opens a crack, and its own iris shows through. They believe they live on the eye of a sleeping god and never raise their voices.
