Obsidian Mite

It lives in swarms inside the obsidian druses of the Depths and eats whatever glitters. Touch the obsidian with a hand or a mining beam, and the swarm pours out and makes for the hold: each mite grabs a piece of ore and hauls it back to the druse. A killed mite gives up what it stole.
