Plume Moth

A moth as wide as a door, at home in the warm updrafts over the paterae of Io. Its wings are a map of its world: yellow sulfur, a red hem, and in the middle a black patera in a ring of glowing lava. It rides the plumes of the volcanoes up to the black sky and sifts sulfur dust with its feathered antennae.
