Refractor

A floating eye of cut glass that drifts between the prism spires of the Facet and drinks light from the veins through the collectors on its crown. When it finds you, it draws the stored light through its pupil into a beam; strike back, and it sinks into the nearest spire like a reflection, only to step out of the glass behind you.
