Frostwalker

Gentle giants of Uranus who walk on their knuckles. The planet lies on its side, so their day and their night each last forty-two years: they work through the long day and sleep through the long night in deep halls of ice. Diamonds rain on them all their lives and grow into their hides; to them diamonds are weather, and warmth is wealth.
