The Bundling Cord is for when a chest, a furnace mid-smelt or a workshop device has to move without being taken apart: use it on a block and the block is tied into a Bale with everything in it and its settings. Use the Bale where it should stand and the block stands as it was, turned to face where you look.
A Bale is heavy: while you carry it you walk slower and cannot carry a second one. It goes into no chest, satchel, shulker box or bundle, hoppers don't pull it in, and on the ground it doesn't vanish. A double chest, a bed and a door are tied whole.
A knot costs the chunk's flux — 0.5, a block with contents 2; the cord holds 48 knots and is mended with string on an anvil. Monster and trial spawners stay where they were found; bedrock, portals and frames, mirrors, circles, skeins and totems cannot be tied, nor can anything where you may not build.
