A Cascade is a threshold for a redstone signal: it passes it on only when it is no weaker than the threshold, and gives a strength of its own. It is carved from slate like a garden waterfall: the signal enters from behind and fills the left steps — as much as is poured, so strong it is. When the water reaches the bronze weir it spills to the right and runs down to the peg, and from the spout in front comes a signal as strong as where the peg stands.

Use it to set the threshold a step higher; sneak-use to move the peg. Everything shows on the steps themselves: what came in, where the threshold is and what goes out.
