A millstone grinds a shard of a primal current into 3 pinches of its Grit (a Stamp Mill gives 4). Crushing wheels break antimony ore into raw antimony — and one more at a 75% chance, opaline ore into opaline and one more at 50%. A mechanical press makes a sheet from a speculum ingot without flux. A heated mechanical mixer melts the blend — three copper ingots and an antimony regulus — straight into two speculum ingots.
A speculum sheet applied to a stripped lumenash log gives two Speculum-Clad Lumenash — a casing in Create's manner. A deployer can sprinkle quickdust: awakening a block needs no knowledge. But nothing will bring a Loupe, a Conduit or a Spindle to life in its hand: reading, casting and catching a skein are a fluxionist's work.
