A Sentry Arbalest guards the yard by itself: it turns on its post toward a monster within 16 blocks and shoots arrows from its drum while it sees the target. Load it with arrows — by hand or with a hopper; sneak-use empty-handed to unload. The arrows can be picked up.

The Keen Arbalest reaches 24 blocks, shoots faster and truer, and hears: a step or a voice in its circle — and it has already turned. Empty-handed, its owner chooses the targets: monsters, plus players, plus animals, or all. Next: "The Dredge".
