An Updraft is a lift and an air chute: a stream of wind carries creatures and things up, sideways or down, wherever the mouth faces, up to ten blocks. A vent of windslate, and in its bronze mouth a whirligig of eight feathers on an opal hub: Gale flux spins it, and a visible stream blows from the mouth — to the first obstacle.

Chain Updrafts into an air chute: where one stream meets another, the second carries on. In a rising stream, sneak to sink. A redstone signal stills the Updraft.
