Gate rings on every world: how to awaken them and travel between worlds without transport.
Every world, Earth included, has a gate ring — a nine-by-nine square without corners, standing on its edge: 27 frames and a heart at the bottom. It is a road between worlds that bypasses rockets — but only between gates you have awakened.
Gate Heart
- While the master of the world lives, that world’s gate sleeps. Defeat it and a heart remains that awakens the gate.
- Gate blocks cannot be destroyed: neither the Wither, nor the dragon, nor pistons can take them. An unfinished ring can be taken apart while sneaking, with an empty hand.
- The ring takes the color of the world it stands in.
- Every passage has a fee — the recipe viewer and the tooltip at the gate show it.
On Earth, in the End and in the Nether the gates ask for something of their own — the journal will tell you.
