Fulgurite Bush

When lightning strikes sand, it melts it along its path into a glass tube: a fulgurite, rough outside, smooth inside and branching like the bolt itself. Some found in Florida were over five meters long. Lightning strikes the islands of the Breath so often that fulgurite grows here in bushes, and the broken tips still hold a charge.
