Shard Prowler

A panther of black volcanic glass that prowls the dark ravines of the Lament. Its hide is a mosaic of splinters held together only by light, the turquoise glow of the sorrow quartz it gnaws from the tear veins, and the shards on its shoulders rise like hackles when it is angered. It moves without a sound and never strikes first, but a wounded prowler does not give up until its attacker or the prowler itself lies shattered.
