Weeping Sentinel

A statue of dark glass that hides its face in its hands, and its tears set into sorrow quartz at its feet. Whoever looks at it grows heavy and slow, as if turning to glass; look away, and it is already beside you. Behind the hands there is no face, only two hollow lights, and under the weight of the Lament its blow knocks a grown man flat.
