Albatross

A long-haul explorer: narrow wings that are solar arrays from tip to tip, like the wandering albatross that crosses an ocean without a wingbeat. A tank wrapped in gold foil under its belly (probes are wrapped like that against the cold), a long-range dish on its back, a jump-drive ring behind the stern. Thrifty and the longest jumper, but only average with cargo or in a fight.
