The bardiche takes trophy heads: a full-strength finishing blow sometimes takes the head of the fallen — a zombie, a skeleton, a creeper, a piglin, a player. It is a crescent of brightsteel on a lumenash haft: slow, and it does not sweep.

The bardiche learns in the hand: every foe it fells adds to its mastery, and with mastery heads fall more often — from one in ten to every second. Mastery lives in the thing itself and goes with it from hand to hand.
