A Stillmetal Vein broken inside the circle of a Thaw Lantern gives not grains but Freshet Ore: stillmetal that began to flow again. Outside a thawed circle and with no flux nearby the ore stills back within a day. It is smelted in a Crucible at a strong boil with Drift and Tempo: one piece of ore, one freshet ingot.

Freshet steel flows: what moves is made of it — the flight of the Freshet garb, the wave of the Freshet Scythe, the overflow of bands. The Flux Workbench rolls three ingots into three sheets; nine ingots pack into a block.
