1

The Sunken feed the mire: their creatures silt and drown, their shrines murk the land around, and their Procession comes to murky water by your workshop. They are a branch of the Reckoners' schism, once keepers of the weirs. They were the first to see stagnant flux settle into murk and wake as mire, and decided the mire is no blight but the bottom, where nothing is lost: they call it the Mother Below.

2

The Sodden walks the bottom and rises out of the water beside you; its blow silts you. Step back from the shore, and it has to climb the bank. The Keener sings a lament: whoever she can see loses air as if under water, and at zero drowns even on dry land. Get out of her sight behind stone, or break her song with a heavy blow.

3

The Mirebearer carries a living hummock on his back. His blow to the ground sends out threads that bind your legs. Let him reach murky water, and he presses the hummock into the bottom: mire will grow there.

4

Mire Shrines stand by swamps and quiet rivers: a ring of thread-wrapped stakes and a driftwood Mire Idol. The idol feeds murk to its patch of land and the ones around it until it is broken. And at night after rain, a Sunken Procession may come out toward murky water near you. Clear the water before they arrive, and it turns back: murk is the invitation. Next: "Sunken Laments".
