Pages of the entry
Five totems keep a house and a workshop safe:
Totem of Calm — creepers and TNT do not explode.
Totem of the Hearth — fire does not spread or eat the house.
Totem of Order — creatures do not carry blocks off or trample the beds.
Totem of Clear Skies — no rain, no snow, no lightning.
Totem of Thistledown — falls do not hurt.
In the circle of a Totem of Calm creepers do not explode: a creeper hisses, swells — and halfway the fuse fizzles out. TNT, ghast fireballs, beds and respawn anchors in the wrong world, and lens and weave blasts do not explode there either.
The creeper tries again — and fizzles again. Wind charges and breezes are a push, not a blast: the totem does not hold them, nor the blasts of bosses and guardians. TNT fizzles and is gone — the block does not come back.
Cost: 1 flux per blast.
A Totem of the Hearth keeps a wooden house safe: in its circle fire does not spread or eat blocks, and lava and lightning set nothing alight.
Fire away from a hearth goes out at once, hissing. Fire on a hearth — on netherrack, magma blocks, soul soil or soul sand — keeps burning but does not spread. Campfires, torches and furnaces burn as before.
Cost: 0.05 flux per fire put out.
A Totem of Order keeps creatures from wrecking your place: endermen do not carry blocks off or set them down, zombies do not break doors or crush turtle eggs, ravagers do not break leaves and crops, silverfish do not hide in stone, and rabbits and foxes do not eat the beds.
No one tramples the farmland in its circle — not even you. Farmer villagers, allays, snow golems and sheep on the grass do their thing: that is work, not wrecking.
Cost: 0.1 flux per thing held.
A Totem of Clear Skies keeps the weather off: over its circle no rain or snow falls and no lightning strikes. Endermen by the house stay dry, snow does not pile on the build, ice does not form.
Its column of law reaches the sky. Inside it is dry, and you hear the rain beyond the edge. Farmland by water stays wet as before, and a burning creature is not put out by rain.
Cost: 0.02 flux per second while the weather is bad.
In the circle of a Totem of Thistledown no fall hurts — not you, not animals, not monsters. Set it at the bottom of a shaft, where you land with wings, and in a pen animals fall into.
Hitting a wall on wings is not a fall: the totem does not hold it.
Cost: 0.05 flux and 0.02 more for every point of damage there would have been.
