Shard Sedge

Sedge cuts your hands on Earth too: its leaves are edged with tiny teeth of silica. Obsidian breaks into curved, shell-like chips whose edge is finer than a steel scalpel, and surgeons have used it. The sedge of the Lament is amber glass through and through, like Pele's hair, and it rings when a prowler slips past.
