A figment is a vision of Dissonance: usually harmless, but under heavy Dissonance it strikes, so know it by sight. It is a shadow invented by a mind out of step: it walks your own path over your last steps, at your own pace. Only the one whose Dissonance it is can see it; a companion beside you sees nothing. Hit one and it scatters into ink.
