A warning to those who draw flux without measure. It needs notes of the Stillness: read things where Fray, Hollow or Gloom flows.

A warning: this entry is about how not to ruin your own land. Flux with nowhere to flow does not vanish — it stagnates. Murk gathers wherever a fluxionist draws flux roughly: in smelting, in a broken confluence, in a cheap lens. It does not seep to the neighbors but settles — heavy, dull, violet.
Past a threshold, settled murk turns into mire — a living blight. Mire creeps across the ground, chokes the beds, drives the murk farther and breeds creatures. It is hard to stop and very easy to grow.
The Loupe shows the murk of your patch of land. If the number grows, work more gently or move the workshop. Lumenash and Purifiers can turn murk back into flux, but those are other chapters.
