A Murk Druse cleans a workshop where a Purifier cannot reach: plant the seed on any solid face in a murky chunk, and as it grows it drinks nine murk out of it. You want it when the mire creeps in and there is no flux for a Purifier — and when you need Murk: a ripe druse dissolves in the Crucible.
The seed is brewed in the Crucible: Silt as the catalyst, Murk and Bloom in the brew. It grows in three steps, and each drinks three murk; with less murk in the chunk it waits. In a clean chunk, and in the Stillness where nothing flows, it does not grow. Now and then a Mire Hummock drops a seed.
Take a druse with a Pike Pole and the murk stays locked inside; a ripe one gives two druses — one to plant again, one to dissolve. Broken any other way — by hand, with a pickaxe, by an explosion, a piston, losing its support — it bursts, and all it drank returns to the chunk as murk; you get just the seed.
Murk is stagnant flux. A druse gives it a shape: inky columns grow like drops, with lilac smoldering inside. Fluxionists call it an honest sink — it does not destroy murk, it holds it until someone drops it.
