Draft Through an Orb

An encased fan blowing through a current Orb processes the things in its stream with that current — the way Create processes them through water, fire and lava. The stream takes the current's color. A thing changes one for one: the draft makes nothing and eats nothing.

Fray wears: copper ages a step, bricks crack, stone breaks into cobblestone and cobblestone into gravel. Lattice mends: all of it back. Gale dries: a wet sponge dries, mud hardens into clay. Strata sets: concrete powder hardens. Tide rinses — Create's washing. Ember smelts, as through lava.
