Order gear gives the Order's skills: the Bellringer's hearing and toll, the Vowkeeper's vow, the midstep of the Boots. It is not made but found in the Bell Towers, the Chapels of the Still and the City of Midstep. The Bellringer's habit: bells and steps nearby show as ripples. Vowkeeper plate: stand still and the vow of rest is taken, blows from the front come weaker; the full plate cannot be moved, and your blow under the vow strikes like a mace. The step in it is heavy. In Order Boots your steps make no sound, and crouching you are hard to see.
The skills — crouch twice. In the full habit — the Mute Toll: a ring of rime rolls ten blocks, and every foe it reaches slows and shines through walls; it is seen, not heard. In Order Boots while moving — Midstep: five blocks through a stopped instant, blows miss you, and pursuers who lose you fall behind; at the edge of a drop the step stops.
The Prior's Seal remakes Vowkeeper plate into his vestments, piece by piece, in a Confluence: allies nearby hold firmer, and an ally who takes a killing blow keeps one health — once a minute. Foes falling nearby give the reliquary taken time; crouch twice and it heals you and your allies. A stillmetal sword with the Seal is the Prior's Blade: its blow slows and starves. The vestments, the blade and the habit all press with Dissonance.
