The Restart has thawed the land around the Founder's Hall forever — its flux is richer than a river's — and now the Stillness gives up its artifacts. The heart beat. For the first time since the day of the Great Stilling, the Stillness took a step, and it could not stop. The glass waterfalls fell as water, the fire that stood as light burned out, and the people caught mid-step finished their step.
The Reckoners wanted to reckon the world, the Still wanted to stop it. Neither came true: a stopped current does not die, it waits. By the founder's dais it has waited long enough: the land around the Hall flows like spring, and its flux runs richer than a river's. Beyond it, the Stillness stands as it stood.
