Mechanics: Create
The Create branch (Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge only): the Stream Wheel turns shafts with the flux of the land, the Windlass gives a shaft's turn to workshop devices, the Drip Tap and the Decanting Trough fill and empty vials on a belt, the Crucible Stirrer, an arm in the workshop, Create machines for the mod's things, drafts through Orbs, Ponder scenes.
Create for Minecraft 26.3 is not out yet, so the Mechanics branch exists only for Minecraft 1.21.1 and only on NeoForge (the official Create 6.0.10). There is no Create for Fabric 1.21.1: the branch's items stand silent, their tooltip carries a red "Needs mod: Create (NeoForge only)" line, and the Codex chapter "Mechanics" is locked. Minecraft 26.3 has no such branch at all — it switches on when Create comes out for 26.x.
With Create a fluxionist and a master of shafts work for each other: the flux of the land turns shafts, a shaft does the work of muscles in the workshop, Create belts carry vials, and Create machines know the things of Fluxion. What a shaft will not do: make flux (every chunk has its own bed, and Create wheels turn forever) or pay for magic — flux crafting, the Confluence and a cast still take the flux of the place. Distillate is not a fluid: it does not go through Create pipes or tanks; vials carry it. Entries — the Codex chapter "Mechanics" (13 entries); in the game every item of the branch has a Ponder scene: hold W over it.

Stream Wheel
The
Stream Wheel is a Create rotation source where there is neither water nor wind: flux rises in the flume and falls as a stream
onto the opaline paddles. 16 RPM and up to 256 stress units — by the chunk's free flux, in eighths. Under load the wheel drinks flux
(half a flux a second for a full load), idle — nothing; at the very floor of the bed it stirs up murk — dark flakes run in the
stream. Where a Gauge Stone or your own Gauge Post speeds the flux of the chunk, the wheel turns twice as fast — 32 RPM — with the
same capacity.
Windlass
The
Windlass gives the turn of a shaft to the device it faces (the shaft at the back, from 16 RPM): a Stamp Mill pounds without
Cog, a Molder crafts without flux (from 64 RPM — twice as often), a Sluice Box washes twice as often, a Pump lifts distillate without
flux.
Drip Tap and Decanting Trough
A pair for vials on a Create belt:
- The
Drip Tap hangs under a vessel (or another distillate holder) and fills vials on a belt or depot one empty block below:
the shaft turns its screw, at 16 RPM a vial takes 6.4 s. It never pours Murk. - The
Decanting Trough works the other way: it sits on a vessel, a Crucible or a Gyre; vials ride into it from a belt at its
back, drop in from above, or a mechanical arm lays them in; the shaft decants the vial part by part into the holder, and the empty
vial leaves at the front. The holder takes by its own rules (bed, brand, stopper): a full one is never forced — the vial waits in
the cradle. Murk and sealed vials pass by.
Crucible Stirrer
The
Crucible Stirrer sits right on a Crucible, the shaft from above. From 32 RPM the paddle grinds what is hard: metals and stone
sink even over a gentle heat — a campfire will do (taking as much water as a strong one). The stirrer does not cancel a clash of
currents.
An arm in the workshop
A Create mechanical arm lays a thing on a Confluence plinth and lifts it off, drops things into a Crucible, lays vials into a Decanting Trough, and works the devices whose slots go by faces (Stamp Mill, Sluice Box, Molder, Retort, Fish Trap, Flux Forge, Flux Workbench, Brewing Tower): it puts into the input as a hopper from above and takes what is done as a hopper from below. It does not begin a Confluence, flux crafting or a cast — it has no knowledge.
Create machines and heat
- Millstone — a shard of a primal current into 3 pinches of Grit; crushing wheels — antimony and opaline ores; press — a speculum sheet; heated mixer — the blend straight into ingots; sequenced assembly — the Simple and Compound Drive without flux; item application — a sheet on lumenash gives Speculum-Clad Lumenash.
- A blaze burner under a Crucible: kindled — a gentle heat, superheated — a strong one. An Ember shard superheats the burner like a blaze cake, for 80 seconds. An Ember Orb heats a steam engine's boiler, and a fan through it smelts as through lava.
- A draft through an Orb: an encased fan blowing through an Orb processes things with its current — Fray ages copper and cracks bricks, Lattice mends them back, Gale dries, Strata sets concrete, Tide rinses. One thing for one, nothing more.
- A fan at the tuyere of a Flux Forge (from 32 RPM) counts as a Gale Fan.
Create machine recipes for the mod's things are on the pages Milling, Crushing, Pressing, Mixing, Manual Item Application and Recipe Sequence.
Goggles and the board
Diviner's Spectacles serve as engineer's goggles; on the branch's devices the goggles also show the Loupe line. A Display Link shows "Chunk Flux" of a Stream Wheel, a Gauge Stone, a Gauge Post and a Flux Mill and "Held Currents" of a vessel, a Crucible, a Gyre, a Flux Reservoir and a Decanting Trough. Create machines do not move blocks with a pair or a world record (mirrors, parts of the altar and the Forge, Gauge Stones).
