The Reckoners' counting automaton from the Flooded Archive: it measured the shelves with its rod and kept the ledgers. The Tollkeepers rewound it, riveted their reliquaries to its yoke and told it that everything in the Archive is theirs. Now it counts every current that passes through the hall — and locks it away.
