Snagling
folk
A small, quick folk of the wild flux places: you hear the dry rustle of their sedge cloaks before you see them. Whatever lies on the ground is catch to them, current that came loose and drifts to whoever picks it up. They take in those who bring a gift to their craving.
Snagling Gleaner
Snagling Charmer
Snagling Snarer
Snagling Peddler
The only Snagling who trades with strangers: he walks upstream from camp to camp under a creel taller than himself, trading one place's catch for another's craving. Every few days he comes out to someone by day, with a laden Driftback on a lead, stays for a day and slips away into the reeds.
The camp
Where they live
Snagling CampA clearing of the Snaglings, the small quick folk of the wild flux: three sedge shelters, a catch pole with lanterns and, in the middle, the Catch Heap where the band keeps whatever it caught. Bring a gift to the band's craving before you touch the heap.
Snagling StiltholdA home of the Snaglings over the channels of the fens: wicker huts under reed thatch on bog-oak stilts, plank walkways and, in the middle, the Catch Heap where the band keeps whatever the river brought. Bring a gift to the band's craving before you touch the heap.
