The Inkpine Forest gives a fluxionist three things. Ink Resin refills a Ruling Pen fully on a crafting table — no current shard needed, and in the Crucible it is the richest living source of Gloom. Scrollbark goes into paper and into Scroll Shelves, which power an enchanting table like bookshelves. And deep in the forest stands the Reckoner Scriptorium, where their Records lie.

Resin is taken by hand: an inkpine's bark sometimes bears a wound with a bead of ink — use it and the resin is yours; in time the wound seeps again. Scrollbark lifts in sheets: cut a loose sheet with shears, and the next one peels by itself. The forest grows where old-growth taiga would: look for black spires hung with silver lichen and water nearly black.

The Scriptorium is a library of two floors: bays of scroll shelves, a gallery, a bell tower with an inkwell lamp, a fallen wing with ink vats. The scribes sealed the reading room and left the order in the bays themselves: the rule by the door says how to read it. At night Inkblots rise in the forest — ink that was never let to settle — and Hush Owls fly without a sound. A Copyist's Lodge by the path keeps a store of resin and bark.
