Seeding Brine

Seeding Brine hurries a crystal farm: seeds next to its pool grow faster. Brew Prism, Lattice and Tide in the Crucible and throw an empty bucket in last — it floats up full of Seeding Brine. Pour it next to crystal seeds: those within two blocks of the pool grow faster.

The brine makes no flux: it hurries growth only with the flux above the bed. On drained land, and by a river running level with its bed, it does nothing; in a brimming place the seeds ripen before your eyes.

The Seeding Bed shows how to keep the brine from spreading and let it reach every seed: a brine source in a masonry basin, seeds on its rim. The brine tries seeds no farther than two blocks from its source, four tries at a time, so the more seeds around it, the more often a try finds one. It must be a source: flowing brine grows no seeds.
