Veil Varnish hides armor from the eye: the protection and enchantments stay, and the look is yours. Brew Gloom and Prism in the Crucible over a gentle heat and throw an empty vial in last — two vials of Veil Varnish come out. Gloom hides, Prism lets light straight through.

Lay a piece of armor next to a vial of varnish at a crafting table: once coated, it is not seen on its wearer — on you, a creature or an armor stand. Protection and enchantments stay. The varnish hides from eyes, not from the flux: whoever wears diviner's spectacles or holds a loupe sees the armor as it is. A water cauldron washes it off.
