Wootz Garb guards against the danger of its place: sewn with Ember it laughs at lava, with Tide it breathes long under water; the Vane Mantle for gliding grows from it too. Wootz damask — flux cloth woven with wootz wire — takes the pattern of its wootz nuggets. On two pieces the pattern is faint, on four it is at full strength.
Pattern's Answer: on four pieces a foe that strikes you up close gets the pattern's currents — Ember burns, Rime freezes, Tide throws back, Strata roots, Venom poisons, Bloom heals you. Pattern Flare: crouch twice and for ten seconds the pattern works twice as strong; it rests a minute. Flare before lava, the deep or a fight. Wet damask and a murky chunk silence both the answer and the flare.
The flaw: damask drinks water. In water the garb grows heavy, and for ten seconds after it the pattern stays silent. Diviner's Spectacles lenses are set into the hood.
Gliding. The heart of an Updraft on fluxsteel wire is a Vane; a Confluence grows it onto a Wootz Coat, and out comes a Vane Mantle. A jump in the air opens the vane: a slow glide forward, hold jump to hover, sneak to fold. It does not lift you: height comes from an Updraft or a cliff.
