The Sunken
cult
The Sunken feed the mire: their creatures silt and drown, their shrines murk the land around, and their Procession comes to murky water by your workshop. They are a branch of the Reckoners' schism, once keepers of the weirs. They were the first to see stagnant flux settle into murk and wake as mire, and decided the mire is no blight but the bottom, where nothing is lost: they call it the Mother Below.

Spoiler: this describes a guardian and its moves.
Where they live
Great DamThe weirkeepers dammed a basin of the Lees to hold the murk itself. The eldest of them still sits on the crest under his gate; behind him the ooze stands to the brim, and below lies the dry bed they drained.
Mire ShrineA ring of stakes bound with mire threads around a driftwood idol. The Sunken bring rotten-wax candles here and feed the still water until it settles into mire. Where such a shrine stands, the murk never leaves its chunk.
Sunken HamletStilt huts of the Sunken around a pool of mire ooze. They sing to the idol in the middle and wait for the murk to settle. Whoever comes to their pool goes into it.
Sunken SanctumA Reckoner sluice the Sunken took for a temple. They let the lower basin silt over until the still water rose as a lake of mire, and called a mouth up from it. The halls between were flooded on purpose: the Sodden keep them.
