The Interrift

The body of a colossal loom hung in the dark of the Knot, under its frame: here the dark roads were woven through the void. Four warps hang one under another, each with a hall where the thread of its world is woven — the Facet, the Hive, the Breath, the Eye — and at the bottom, in her nest, the Spinner still keeps the warp. The seams are torn and the tears are sewn by hand and eye; the knots are tied in the order of their figure.
