A whole Hubstone is not broken into spokes but bound in a brass wheel on an ash haft. Out comes a mattock: a pickaxe, a shovel and an axe at once, tougher and faster than netherite. Whichever spoke looks forward, that current does the digging; pick a spoke on the lens wheel — hold … — or sneak and use it to turn the wheel to the next spoke.
Tide — Panning: ore gives one more raw piece, but not with Fortune. Strata — Sweep: 3×3 across the face. Fray — Vein: the whole vein of ore at once. Ember — Smelting: what you mine comes out smelted. Gale — Passage: a man-high tunnel five blocks deep in one blow. Lattice — Whole: blocks drop as with Silk Touch.
The mattock pays for Panning, Smelting, Passage and Vein with the flux of the chunk; when the flux falls below a quarter of the bed they fall silent, and the mattock digs like a plain one. Sneaking, it takes a single block. It carries Dissonance while in hand, and in your inventory, in a full chunk, it slowly mends with the flux of the place.
