The roads
The mod’s three roads — the sky, the dark and the fire — briefly and without spoilers.
The mod has three roads. Each starts with its own instrument, leads through its own worlds and needs its own transport. You can take any of them in any order, but the journal leads along the sky road first.
The Sky RoadThe telescope, constellations, rockets and the planets of the Solar System — then ships and interstellar space.
The Dark RoadThe riftscope in the End, rifts and the four worlds beyond them — the shuttle, the Interrift and its secrets.
The Fire RoadThe magmascope in the Nether, vents and the worlds at their bottom — the bell, the Depths and the Nether Sun.
The sky road
It starts with a telescope on Earth. Telescopes grow — refractor, reflector, astrograph, graviscope — and each sees further: first the constellations and the Moon, then the planets. A world you have found can be visited by rocket: the lunar, interplanetary, heavy and deep-space rockets fly further and further. Beyond that the road leads to your own ships and open space.
The road’s worlds are the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, the giant planets and their small worlds. In detail — in the world reference.
The dark road
It starts in the End. The riftscope looks not at the stars but into the void: rifts hide in it, and you have to find them and tear them open along the seam. Beyond the rifts lie four worlds, reached by the shuttle. See “Riftscope”. How it ends — behind a spoiler.
The fire road
It starts in the Nether. The magmascope looks down into a bowl of lava: vents are found by ear and opened with strikes in time with their pulse. At the bottom of the vents lie worlds of fire, reached by the bell. See “Magmascope”. How it ends — behind a spoiler.
What all roads share
- Every world has a master — a boss at the heart of that world’s dungeon. While it lives, the world’s gate sleeps.
- Gates — nine-by-nine rings on all the worlds at once. Awakened gates link the worlds, bypassing transport. See “Gates”.
- Peoples live on many worlds: you trade with them, talk to them and take their tasks. See “Peoples and tasks”.
